I think there’s something wrong with me
July 22, 2005
I think I have verbal dyslexia, or something. I can’t seem to talk straight, no matter how hard I try, and no matter how much I concentrate on actually enunciating clearly. I’m always getting words in the wrong order, or somehow mangling syllables so that I get the wrong vowel in them, and then they sound totally wrong.
Like, not too long ago, I was trying to say something about peach pie, and it came out cheap pie. Now, how many people do you know who switch the letters from the end of the word onto the beginning, and vice versa?
I wonder if there’s some drug out there to fix this. Maybe I have some weird disease or something.

I am working on my M.A. in Religion at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. Besides having a big interest in theology, history, ethics, and the deep stuff of life, I am also very fond of Mediterranean food, snow, and the color red.

I know someone who can probably fix this. But it’s not with drugs.
