Mind-altering monster

Critics are apparently not wild about the single track that has been released from Kevin Federline’s upcoming rap album, due out this spring. Though the track has quickly become popular on the web, it’s received horrible reviews almost across the board, according to an Associated Press article last week.

“It’s incredible—incredibly horrible,” the article quotes DJ Star, of the Star & Buc Wild show, as saying.

But despite the negative critical response, Star, who intends to play the track regardless of his opinion of it, admits that Federline, who is married to Britney Spears, may still have a hit:

“Radio is a mind-altering and conditioning monster within itself,” he says. “You play something 45,000 times … you’re going to start singing it.”

Uh, whoa. Get a load of that statement. Let me repeat: “Radio is a mind-altering and conditioning monster within itself.”

What do you think? Is this true? And if so, does it matter?
